The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,644 posts.
Fitter: 406 (DRM Office) + 110 (Wagon Repair Shop)
Welder: 262 (DRM Office) + 110 (Wagon Repair Shop)
Electrician: 337 (DRM Office) + 14 (Wagon Repair Shop)
Stenographer (Hindi/English):
23 posts COPA: 85 posts
Other Trades: Mechanic Diesel, Machinist, Turner, Health & Sanitary Inspector, and more.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements as of May 5, 2026:
1. Educational Qualification
Academic: Must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% marks.
Technical: Must possess an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
2. Age Limit
Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: 10 years
Selection Process
The selection for the SECR Apprentice positions is purely merit-based.
Merit List: Prepared by giving equal weightage to the percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (10th) and ITI examinations.
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called to verify original certificates.
Medical Examination: Candidates must be declared medically fit according to Railway standards.
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will undergo a one-year training program and receive a monthly stipend as per government rules:
ITI Pass (2-Year Course): Approx. ₹8,050 per month.
ITI Pass (1-Year Course): Approx. ₹7,000 per month.
Freshers (10th Pass): Approx. ₹6,000 per month.

Search for SECR Raipur opportunities and select your relevant trade.
Fill in the required details (10th and ITI marks must be accurate).
Upload necessary documents: Age proof, ITI marksheets, and Category Certificate.
Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
Note: There is no application fee for any category (General/OBC/SC/ST/Female).
